We will experiment with keyboards, pitched and non-pitched percussion instruments, music textbooks, and music literacy resources.
Announcements September MusicWe have gotten off to a great year in music!
3rd grade students will be assigned a recorder. This year, I am pleased to announce a new program- Record Karate. Students will be provided music class time to learn songs at their own pace. For each song they perform correctly, they receive a recorder karate belt. So far it is a HUGE success! Ask your student about it. Information will be coming home soon about hoe you can purchase a recorder for home practice. 2nd grade music students will be introduced to 'Boomwhackers.' Boomwhackers are plastic tubular shapes that have specific musical pitches. We are learning how everyday items can be used to make musical sounds.
